Together with our creative allies at ALL CAPS agency, we delved into the world of mold to create a captivating blend of reality and surrealism in a 3D animation. This animation showcases mold consuming a loaf of bread for the Lithuanian Food Bank / „Maisto bankas“ campaign, which aims to encourage people to save more food and prevent it from succumbing to mold.

We established a laboratory for research and experimentation, where we emulated the natural pathways of fungal growth to create both micro and macro experiences for the audience. To achieve a convincing CGI representation of mold, we employed five different layers of textures and simulations. Surrealistic montage elements were incorporated to serve the narrative, while the realistic aspects of the project stand as a testament to the boundless inspiration drawn from the natural world around us.
